Silver Claw is Fatal Claw’s core weapon upgrade path. The source pack says Kisha’s basic Claw starts as a three-hit string and can be upgraded to a five-hit string with Silver Claw level. It also names Kannium as the material used to upgrade the Claw at the Claw Tree. The Destroyed Legacy achievement is tied to acquiring the Damaged Silver Claw, while Claw Sharpening is tied to using Kannium to upgrade the Claw.

This page avoids unsupported upgrade numbers. The pack does not give exact material costs, damage values, or level names beyond the Silver Claw and Damaged Silver Claw references. The useful question is how the upgrade path changes play. A stronger Claw gives safer pressure, better healing refill opportunities, and more confidence during boss punish windows. It does not remove the need for Blink, Engraved Skills, or careful healing.

Why The Claw Still Matters

Fatal Claw has many systems, but the Claw remains the baseline. It is how Kisha applies reliable close pressure, tests recovery windows, and refills healing economy through combat. Blue healing orbs refill by attacking enemies or drinking tea, not simply by resting at stones, so a stronger basic attack path can indirectly make survival more stable.

The danger is greed. A five-hit string sounds attractive, but longer strings are not always correct. Saitin teaches that short strings are enough when the boss is about to move. Ortrinde punishes players who swing while floating blades are still resolving. Kurtz punishes bad spacing. Enma punishes players who ignore wolf or illusion cues. Silver Claw upgrades give you more options, not permission to ignore the arena.

How To Spend Kannium

Because exact costs are not confirmed in the source pack, use a priority system. Upgrade when the Claw is the reason you are failing. If your problem is that boss windows end before you can apply safe pressure, a Claw upgrade may help. If your problem is a missing route tool such as Meditation of Jibanam or Silver Chain, upgrading the Claw will not open that route. If your problem is bad Blink timing, an upgrade might make successful punishes stronger but will not fix the timing itself.

Use the Claw Tree as a planning stop. After each major region or boss, ask whether your current route needs raw reliability, a Cabitz change, or a movement unlock. The best upgrade plan supports the route instead of competing with it.

Boss Use

Against Saitin and Mirkam, Silver Claw progress can make straightforward punish windows more productive. Against Ortrinde, use the added pressure only after floating blades clear. Against Irbes, stop the combo early if copies are moving. Against Kurtz, combine upgraded Claw pressure with correct Blink distance. Against Enma, treat every extra hit as optional unless the Golden Spirit Wolf and illusions are fully resolved. In Sealed Spire context, Silver Claw reliability becomes part of late-game consistency, especially around Nagaraja and Ain pages.
